Philip G. Jordan
New Paris, Ohio-Philip G. Jordan, 77, New Paris, died Monday, Oct 17, at Reid Hospital, Richmond, after a short illness.
He was born July 31, 1917, in Preble Co., Ohio to Paul and Grace McWhinney Jordan and was a lifelong resident of Preble County. He was a 1935 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and had been in the farming business with his three sons. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church at Richmond. He had been on the board of Producers Livestock Association for 17 years, during the time the Cincinnati region merged into the Columbus, Ohio region. He had been on various committees associated with the improvement of hog farming in Preble Co.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn O. Peters Jordan, whom he married Sept. 17, 1940; one daughter, xxx of Augusta, Ga.; three sons, xxx Jordan and xxx Jordan, both of New Paris and xxx Jordan Jr., of Richmond; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Jordan and James Jordan, both of New Paris; nieces and nephews.
