Larry Wolfe: "In the 1820 census of Butler County, Michael was over 45 [b. pre-1775] with a wife also over 45. They had a single male child living with them under 10 years old [b. 1810 to 1820]. One person was involved in agriculture....In the 1830 census for Butler County, there were 2 Michael Woolfs listed."

From Ray Wolff (1989): "Michael Wolf Sr. came from New Jersey to Butler Co OH and lastly to Fayette Co IN where his will appears in probate June 1 1843. His s-i-l Elihu Crandall and his son Michael Wolf, Jr. were executors."

Michael Wolf sold 80 acres in Butler Co., Ohio to Elihu Crandle in 1814.
