From Sally Henry in East Moline, IL: "Elijah's mother was Lucretia Horner of Hanover Co., Burlington Co., NJ. Evidence: will, vol. A, p. 479, Monmouth Co., NJ, 26 Apr 1804, proved 17 March, 1812...Eldest son Elijah Horner...next elder child, Charity Dennis...third child Charles Horner...fourth child Barzillia Horner...fifth child Elizabeth Kirby...grandchild Lydia, the child of dau. Mary Horner, deceased...Witnesses, Alice Hopkins, Jacob Kirby, Robert Morris.
"Lucretia's parents were George Hopkins and Rachel (Page). My evidence is as follows: In a Burlington Co. NJ deed (Book O, p. 257). Samuel Robbins and Isaiah Hopkins, both of Upper Freehold, Monmouth County, and Lucretia Horner, of Hanover, Burlington Co., all heirs of an Edward Page, late of Chesterfield Twp., Burlington Co., sold some property to Asa Page of Mansfield Twp. It went on to tell that Samuel Robbins' share was 2/5 of one-ninth, Isaiah Hopkins was 2/5 of one-ninth, and Lucretia Horner (late Hopkins) was 1/5 of one-ninth.
"In another deed (Book O, p. 255) Aaron Robbins was another heir of Edward Page, and Edward Hopkins of Miflin Twp, Allegany Co., PA, was another heir, both 2/5 of one-ninth shares. They were selling to Asa Page."
"There is a will for George Hopkins of Monmouth County, proved 1776. One of his daughters is given in the printed wills of NJ as 'Lucretia Homes.'
She married Horner (209) (A480).
