164. Gabriel[8] Swaim Sr. (Matthias, 214) (A248). Born, 12 Nov 1752[123]. Died, 2 Feb 1837, in Jacobstown, NJ. Extra 4: 1778, in Mansfield Twp., Burlington Co., NJ.

Mullane says that there is a stone behind that says "Mother."

Mullane, Swaim, & Johnson (1984): "In the Revolutionary census of New Jersey, on List I, 1773 & 1774, Gabriel is shown in Mansfield Township as a single man... On list II, 1778 & 1780, Gabriel is shown in Chesterfield Township as head of household...Jacobstown was in Chesterfield Township."

From vol. 2: "Gabriel and Hannah are the only two within the families of Burlington County who we know of, adopted the Quaker faith." A Gabriel Swaim, appeared at a witness to the will of Samuel Emley, New Hanover on 5 Feb., 1811. Also, Gabriel and James Swaim appeared as witnesses to the will of Samuel Parker, Sr. of New Hanover on 8 July, 1812, with Gabriel having performed the inventory of the estate.

He married Hannah Brown (165) (A249), 12 Mar 1778, in Burlington Co.,
