The 1860 census listed Elizabeth living on a farm with B.J. and her children Philip, David, Hanna, Mary, Mariah, and Elenora. In 1870, "Brazilla" was a farmer worth $5280 and $700, and living with them were her son Phillip (farm laborer) and his wife Ellen L., and their daughters Hannah, Mary E., Maria F., Ellanora, and Emma; the daughters except Emma were in school. In 1880, she and Barziller, listed as a farmer and daughters Mariah and Emma.

The 1875 Preble Co. County Directory lists Barilla Horner, West Elkton, in Tax-Paying Farmers and Land Owners.

Atlas of Preble Co. County, Ohio (1871): B.J. Horner was shown as owning 88.04 acres in section 19, Gratis Twp., about 2 miles NW of West Elkton. Mary Curme, Martha J. Van Ausdal and Carlisle Platt owned the land to the north. The residence was located on a lane at the western end of the property which extended north to the residence of the above relatives, and which came off of the road from Camden to West Elkton.

A quit claim deed dated 31 July 1900 from Elizabeth Horner and the children and their spouses of Elizabeth and B. J. Horner to Philip Snively for $500 for 20 acres from the SE1/4 NE1/4 sec. 19 T4 R3E.
