According to her obituary, Elizabeth was born in Jackson Twp. Her father died and at age 6 she moved across the state line. Her mother died when she was 15 and she lived with Henry Garretson until she was married. She moved to New Paris in 1894.

She married Andrew Kirkpatrick "Andy" Reid (47) (A52).
