104. David[7] Kinsey (Johannes or John, 162) (A122). Born, 1782, in VA[120]. Died, 17 Oct 1865, in Lynn, Randolph Co., IN[120]. Birth(2): 1787 (?)[121]. Census: 1830, in Gratis Twp., Preble Co., OH. Census: 1820, in Botetourt Co., VA.

Reunion of the Kinsey Family Record (1925): "David and John Kinsey (brothers), came to this country from Germany (?) and settled near Lynchburg, Va., where David Kinsey married. Some years later in company with four of his nephews, Lewis, David, Henry, and David, he left Virginia to settle in what was to them the far west. David settled near Eaton, Ohio, and later east of Lynn, Indiana, on the farm now owned by Omar Manning. With the two brothers a sister and her husband, Mary and John Halterman joined them and settled near Eaton, Ohio...After the children of David Kinsey were all married except two daughters, his wife Elizabeth died. He lived at home until his two daughters were married, when he married Charlotty Horner, of West Elkton, O. They had one child, who died in infancy. His second wife died and he made his home with his son Robert, for some time, and later lived with his daughter Jane Bookwalter, in Wabash, Ind., and married Mary Adams, who lived several years after his death. His last days were spent on his farm east of Lynn, where he died in 1865 at the age of 87 years. He was an honest hardworking man." .

Gilbert, 1827-1834 lists: David was on the Preble Co. tax lists, Gratis Twp., for 1827, 1828, 1829, 1830, and 1831.

He married, first, Elizabeth (Vinson?) (105) (A123). Children:

i. Robert Young[6] Kinsey. Born, 13 Mar 1811, in Botetourt Co., VA[120]. Died, 11 Jul 1892, in Greensfork Twp., Randolph Co., IN[120]. Burial in Mt. Gilead, Randolph Co., IN[120]. He married Hannah J. Harris, 9 Apr 1839, in Preble Co., OH[120].

ii. Clarissa (Chloa) Kinsey. Born, circa 1819, in VA[36]. Census: 1850, in Noble Twp., Wabash Co., IN. She married Jesse Williams, 15 Jan 1840, in Preble Co., OH[53].

iii. Sarah (Jane) Kinsey. Born, Oct 1823, in VA[73]. Died in Ft. Wayne, Allen Co., IN[120]. Census: 1860, in Noble Twp., Wabash Co., IN. Census: 1900, in Ft. Wayne, Allen Co., IN. She married John A. Bookwalter, 18 Sep 1845, in Preble Co., OH[53].
