In the 1851 census, Ann was listed as a visitor in the house of Robert and Elizabeth Newbatt, 169 Back Street, Spittlegate; Robert was a butcher. Her occupation was listed as "house servant." In the 1861 census, she was living with her father and her daughter Sarah A. Weston at the "Top of the Village" of Sproxton. She was unmarried and was a dressmaker...Ann was living with George Bailey, farmer, in 1910.

Obituary: "Mrs. Ann Weston Bailey was born in Sproxton, England, October 26, 1835 and departed this life, Sept. 12, 1912 at the home of her son, Frank Bailey, in Hartford Twp., Michigan. She was married nearly 60 years to Thomas Bailey and came, with her husband, to America in 1863, settling in Jackson Co., Mi. In 1869 they came to Hartford and have since resided here. Seven children were born to them of whom five are left to mourn, with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband and two children. Mrs. Bailey was one of the charter members of the Church of Christ in Hartford and was ever true, both to her Master and to her church. Her life was a very quiet, homekeeping one & yet her influence extended to a very wide circle of friends who deeply sympathized with her in her long illness which resulted in her death. Hers was a peaceful departure, trusting fully in her Savior. 'Twas a blessed assurance. She had done what she could. Our loss is her gain. Funeral services for her were attended at the Church of Christ Monday morning, Rev. J.A. Brown officiating & interrment was made at the old cemetary."
